From the author: Daybreak - From Shadows Into Light is based on the general premises set forth in Though Lovers Be Lost, with the following exceptions: Vincent and Catherine have not yet experienced a physical consummation of their love, and, therefore, a child has not been conceived. Since there is no child, Vincent does not need to seek help in finding him; thus, Diana Bennett also ceases to exist here. The story begins five weeks after Catherine's abduction, just days before she will be found by police in an abandoned building.
